First Steven Tyler, then Jennifer Lopez and now Randy Jackson won't be returning to the "American Idol" panel. Randy's departure is just the latest in a series of shakeups on the show that will now need a fresh cast.
One of those fresh faces will most likely be Nicki Minaj as "AI" insiders revealed that her deal is very close to being signed. Although Mariah Carey szupposedly isn't be happy to hear that, producers are hoping for a little diva controversy to boost ratings.
Sources also said the show will return to the four-judge format and producers hope to fill one of those seats with a popular country singer. But don't expect to see Diddy or Kanye West as they're no longer in the running.
So what happens to Randy? He's hanging around next season as a "mentor" on the show.
