Tom Cruise Gets Off Easy In Divorce Settlement With Katie Holmes

Katie Holmes will not be getting any spousal support from Tom Cruise in their divorce settlement.

The former “Dawson’s Creek” star filed for divorce in New York in June, and the divorce was finalized within weeks.

Katie Holmes will only receive child support for their six-year-old daughter Suri, of whom she has legal custody.

An insider reveals Holmes will receive $400,000 a year in child support, which breaks down to around $33,000 a month. This amount may sound like a big chunk of change, but it’s a drop in the bucket to Tom Cruise who is worth $250 million!

Holmes and Cruise agreed Suri will not be attending a “residential school”, which essentially means she will not attend a boarding school.

Cruise agreed to pay for all of Suri’s expenses, including dental, medical, education and college costs.

Katie Holmes seems to be a “new woman” since her split with the 50-year-old star.

A friend of Katie’s stated, “She now gets to see her family more, feels free to concentrate on her career and is no longer living in fear of Scientology.

“Katie is a new woman, she feels refreshed, free of Tom and doesn’t have a worry in the world.”

A source close to Cruise said he is happy with the divorce settlement with ex Katie Holmes, adding, “Tom is very happy and relieved that he is moving forward. His priority is being a good father and this settlement will make sure that continues.”
